Walks where
newOrigin builds legged, flying and rolling machines for ground that was never designed for them, and APEX, the edge runtime all of them share. Four verticals: defence, industrial, space, environment.
Across two arms, two legs, waist and neck on ORION Mk-I.
Solid-state pack at 3.6 kWh, hot-swapped in the field.
Balance recomputed against measured ground reaction, in hertz.
Forest, swamp, snow, glacier and desert, switched in software.
Five programmes,
one runtime
Each platform is a different body. All of them run APEX, so a behaviour written for one ports to the others in configuration rather than code.
O.R.I.O.N.
Bipedal humanoidOptimised Running Intelligence over Obstacles and Nature. 42 DOF, 1.78 m, built to walk terrain that stops wheeled machines.
Open platformP-02C.A.N.I.S.
Quadruped ground unitRugged four-legged platform for last-mile reconnaissance, EOD support and perimeter work. 14 kg dorsal payload bay.
Open platformP-03NIMBUS
Aerial systemsFixed-wing and multirotor UAS for surveillance, cargo drop and precision agriculture. Swarm-coordinated, BVLOS-ready.
Open platformP-04APEX
Edge AI runtimeThe inference stack every newOrigin machine runs on: compression, on-device training, real-time sensor fusion. Licensable to OEMs.
Open platformP-05NEXFLOW
Supply chain automationWarehouse robotics and industrial orchestration. AMR fleet management, demand forecasting, human approval on critical decisions.
Open platformWhere they
go to work
We sell into four places where the ground is the problem. Everything else is a distraction until these are served properly.
Defence
ISR, EOD support, logistics into contested ground, and humanoid test beds for DRDO and defence PSU programmes.
Industrial
Plant inspection where a permit-to-work is expensive: hot zones, confined spaces, night shifts, tall racks.
Space
Analogue terrain research and habitat servicing, where a machine has to work without a person nearby.
Environment
Disaster response, glacier and forest survey, and infrastructure assessment after an event.
Three layers,
owned end to end
The foundation is ours, which is why the runtime can be licensed and the platforms can be certified. Layer 2 is the commercial asset.
Send us the hardest ten metres on your site.
Two-week terrain study before anything is promised: survey, gait profile, payload plan, and an honest answer on whether legs are the right tool. Some sites should stay wheeled, and we will say so.
